PRISCILLA URRUTIA

Priscilla is an owner and stylist at PALABRA / PHS in Phoenix, AZ – Graduated from beauty school with a specialty in hair haircutting and styling, where she also met her partner, Jorge Torres. In 2012, they opened PALABRA; a salon, art gallery, and event space that has become a central figure in Phoenix’s creative community, attracting both nation and international accolades, collaborating with artists and organizations to use hair as a platform for greater artistic expression. At PALABRA, Priscilla leads her team in addition to being behind the chair, working to highlight the specific strengths and talents of each team member while curating client experience.

She looks forward to continuing her journey by experimenting with new ideas, techniques, and perspectives through hair and other materials, as well as helping to bring added focus and attention to Phoenix and her greater community through PALABRA.

THE STRENGTH IN THE INDIVIDUALS UNIQUE STYLE IS MY FOUNDATION AND WHAT I FIND MOST IMPORTANT AS A GUIDANCE IN MY SESSIONS TO TAILOR THE CUTS THAT BEST SUITS THEM. WITH ENHANCING MOVEMENT, TEXTURE, AT THE SAME TIME KEEPING IN MIND TO HONOR THE STRUCTURE AS A HIGHLIGHT OF THE INDIVIDUALS BEST FEATURES. I ALSO FIND THESE SERVICES MORE LIKE A COLLABORATION BETWEEN MYSELF AND MY CLIENT. THIS GIVES ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THEM, THEIR ROUTINES, LIFESTYLE AND FAVORITE QUALITIES OF THEMSELVES.
